Shibuya Scramble Square, 涩谷 Scramble Square
This large-scale complex facility opened in 2019 directly above and connected to Shibuya Station, which is served by Tokyu, JR East, and Tokyo Metro. It is the tallest tower in the area, with seven underground floors and 47 above-ground floors, making it a new landmark in Shibuya.
In addition to a shopping zone with an attractive lineup of shops and restaurants for sweets, fashion, and miscellaneous goods on floors B2 to 14, the complex also features the co-creation facility “SHIBUYA QWS” hosting various events, high-grade offices, and more. The highlight is the observation facility “SHIBUYA SKY,” centered around one of Japan’s largest rooftop observation spaces. Enjoy the panoramic view of Tokyo’s cityscape from 229 meters above ground, along with various visual displays in the observation space.
A space called “Urban Core” has been developed as a passageway between the facility and the station, creating a dynamic pedestrian flow and adding vibrancy to the streets of Shibuya.
